Our programs
Program
1
Surgical Endoscopy
Today majority of surgical diseases, particularly digestive diseases, can be approached in some type of minimally invasive fashion. Modern digestive medicine needs leaders with endoscopic skills that are well defined.
This program presents a unique opportunity for surgery and gastroenterology residents, fellows and practicing physicians to learn basic and advanced endoscopic skills to form a foundation in the practice of flexible endoscopy while introducing cutting edge techniques such as ESD, POEM, endoscopic suturing, ERCP and EUS. The curriculum can be customized according to the student’s background, experience and needs. Students can choose between CME courses, a yearlong university diploma and a 2 –year master degree.
Didactic content will be presented on-line and complemented by an extensive hands-on practice using simulators, inanimate and animate models and clinical experience to achieve demonstrable competency in endoscopic surgery. Clinical exposure and practice will be obtained either at the IHU and its partners clinical centers or at the student’s home institution.
Program
2
Image-guided Therapy
The Image-Guided Therapy program covers the entire spectrum of diagnostic surgical and interventional radiology. The curriculum is designed for trainees (radiologists or surgeons) to acquire the principles and advanced techniques in abdominal interventions in adults.
The didactic content will be presented on-line by world experts. Hands on practice will take place on site utilizing the IHU’s state of the art training platform. The curriculum can be customized according to the student’s background, experience and needs. Students can choose between CME courses, a yearlong university diploma and a 2 –year master degree. Clinical exposure and practice will be obtained either at the IHU and its partners clinical centers or at the student’s home institution.
